Community Outreach

Open 5  days a week, The Food Outlet provides affordable fresh produce, pre-made meals,pantry staples, and essentials to everyone.

  • We make pre-ordered fresh fruit and veg hampers on Wednesdays and Thursdays for $20. If you would like to order just text 24 hours in advance with your name to 0421 788 948.

  • Caring, affordable counselling services are available to support mental health & wellbeing. We offer confidential support to individuals in a safe welcoming space to help navigate life’s challenges with compassion and professionalism.

  • Our Emergency Relief offers flexible, personalised support tailored to your unique circumstances with caring professionals available to listen, guide and assist in ways that support your current situation.

About Us

The Food Outlet & Op Shop exists to support our local community.
We provide affordable groceries, second-hand clothing, household items, toys, and bric-a-brac to help ease the cost of everyday living. More than just a shop, it’s a place to connect, share a smile, and offer encouragement when it’s needed most.

Our History

The Hub began, over 25 years ago, as a community outreach project from Noosa Church, created to lend a hand where it was needed most. What started as a simple way to provide affordable groceries and second-hand goods has grown into a place of connection, care, and practical support for the wider Noosa community.

From the early days, our goal has been the same—help people stretch their budget further, while creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Through our Food Outlet and Op Shop, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside locals during tough times, sharing encouragement, and offering a friendly face.

While we’ve grown and taken steps to operate with more independence, our heart remains unchanged: to serve the community with kindness, dignity, and compassion.

FAQ

  • We welcome everyone to come and shop in our store. It’s a well organised space to browse clothing and accessories whilst at the same time you can choose to stock up your pantry with groceries and fresh fruit and veggies.

  • We offer a range of volunteer opportunities whether you love working with people, organising behind the scenes or lending a hand where its most needed. If you are keen to join the team call 0421 788 948.

  • Donate your quality clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, linen, books, toys, and household décor items at our donation bins at the front of the shed Tuesday to Friday.

    We have also started accepting small furniture in good condition and are looking for support through donations (This doesn’t include mattresses, beds, couches or TVs.)
